Last weekend I made the trip down to my hometown to see my family and met my mom for lunch at Graffiti's. This restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Lincolnton, NC. About an hour from Boone the Macomson family is turning out AMAZING creative dishes based on their childhood at the beach. I had the Crabby Mike, named after their son Michael, who created this one night after the kitchen closed. It is a toasted English muffin, heaped with seafood salad, topped with loads of cheddar cheese and melted. I got the inside scoop and found out that in-between all that crab and cheese there is a drizzle of his dad's famous remoulade! If that isn't enough, it is served with a big cup of homemade chunky tomato soup (shhh its the mothers special recipe) which makes this the best spin on a grilled cheese and tomato soup.
Not pictured (because she dug in before I could snap a pic) is my mom's Shrimp Burger. Again that remoulade comes in for the kill! I don't know how they do it but the 'burger' stays together with so much shrimp and NO filler. The result is insanely juicy shrimp, crisp spring mix, and fresh tomato that needs nothing more than a big napkin!
After living in Lincolnton my entire life, this restaurant took our food scene up a notch, now fresh seafood dishes are not a vacation only treat!
